The following programs were designed with this in mind:

The Benedict-Forstmann Silver Lining Ranch Program in Aspen, Colorado, is the home for up to twenty children a session throughout the summer, and camp skiing sessions in the winter/spring. Horseback riding, white water rafting, campfire picnics, and downhill skiing are the adventurous settings in which children share common medical challenges and establish lifetime friendships.

The "What's Happening Now" Follow Up Project is a semi-annual publication that lets everyone know what is happening to past and present Silver Lining Ranch participants; the children's "Internet" allows them to communicate to each other and keeps them informed; written by the children for the children.

Out-of-State Programs involve follow up projects that link the Foundation staff with Silver Lining Ranch participants and their families. Home and hospital visits are included in each city. Tickets to sporting events and gift packs are also presented to the children.

International Programs assist in bringing supplies to various international hospitals. To provide medical supplies, equipment, housing, clothes and toys for needy children at these hospitals. To enable families of disease stricken children to visit sporting events. Countries to date include England, Germany, Croatia, Italy, France, Australia, Switzerland and Bosnia. We are not currently planning on hosting children from other countries (other than England/Wales).

Wish Program for Silver Lining Foundation Participants grants a child his or her wish while they are receiving treatment for their cancer. Examples of wishes granted: Disneyworld trips, laptop computers, a family visit to a visualization specialist, a visit to the White House, a first time trip to see snow and go skiing.

The Teenage Employment Program Teenagers are employed as counselors in the Silver Lining Ranch program. This program was implemented to give these young adults a starting resume and reference for their future employment with companies.

Family Retreats offer families of the Silver Lining Ranch participants an opportunity to vacation in Aspen cost-free. Ranch accommodations and food are provided by the Foundation. Often times, this is the only vacation these families can take due to the financial burdens and medical concerns.

The Jeff Crawford Scholarship Program was established to help defray education costs to our Silver Lining Ranch participants. Teenagers battling their illnesses can continue their education process through university or vocational establishments.

Medical Relief Program How do you explain to a ten-year-old that just lost a leg to cancer that insurance will not pay for an artificial limb? At The Silver Lining Foundation there is a medical program that assists in areas where insurance does not meet the child's or family's needs.

Kids' Virtual Ranch Enables camp participants to communicate with each other in a secure website environment.
